WWE Raw Review: 10th April 2017

With the excitement about Superstar Shakeup announced by Vince McMahon last Monday, I was expecting that there would be like a draft that occurred last year but there isn’t and honestly it was disappointed to see there wasn’t any formal event about the Superstar Shakeup. Anyhow, this would be the my official review & results on this weeks Monday Night Raw.

  • It started with a segment on The Miz & Maryse mocking John Cena & Nikki Bella stating Hollywood doesn’t need him and Nikki because they were too robotic before Dean Ambrose interrupt their segment. Well it was short and simple, but I wish WWE was more into the changes on the roster rather than mocking John & Nikki.
  • Sami Zayn meets with Kurt Angle and wants to know where he will end up. With the annoying look on Sami, he says that there are a lot of interest from SmackDown. As they were talking, Miz and Maryse arrive and complain about Ambrose’s action and argued with Sami before Angle book Sami and The Miz later that night.
  • With kofi Kingston is out of action because of being injured thanks to The Revival, The Revival manage to win again over The New Day and it’s a good match as it keeps the Revival’s momentum in the main roster.
  • TJ Perkins pick up the victory over Austin Aries. There were some fun back and forth action between the both wrestler which eventually Aries won the match before Neville distract him and attack him post match. It was fun to watch it but I feel that WWE need to be more creative with the cruiserweight.
  • Rollins came out to give his talk in front of the fans that he happy to be back and address the situation hoping that he will stay with Raw. Soon after, Rollins was even happier that that Angle gave him good news that even though Angle know what Stephanie want to but Angle gave him the chance by saying he staying with Raw before Joe come out and attacked him. At that time also, Angle tried to separate the but he can’t before finally he managed to do so. Honestly, it was a good segment performed by Rollins.
  • The match between Nia Jax and Charlotte, Jax was dominant almost the entire match which eventually Jax defeated Charlotte via pinfall. In this match there is nothing much I can say about it.
  • Finn Balor have a match with Jinder Mahal which was relatively quick as Finn Balor beat Mahal in 2:45 minutes but at least he won the match to get his momentum back.
  • In the match between Miz and Sami, it was entertaining cause there was a quick back and forth between them in the early stage of the match. There were some good action perform by both wrestler and end of the day the victory was with Sami Zayn. I would say that this match was my favorite match of the night even though Miz loss on his first match.
  • As for Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman’s segment, it all start as they’re doing the backstage interview. Reigns discuses on his match with Taker about showing his respect and everything before Strowman attacked Reigns backstage for quite a time and even injured him badly before Strowman tossed the ambulance over. This segment was legit one of the best segment that I ever watch since I started back watching wrestling.
  • Later that night, Sheamus, Cesaro & The Hardys pick up the win over The Shining Stars, Gallows & Anderson as Sheamus and Cesaro will face the Hardys at Payback.
  • Dana Brooke & Emma have some segmen t back stage as Emma wants Dana to be her protégé which Dana rejected cause Dana find it make her a joke and things before the segment ends.
  • During Bayley’s segment, Alexa Bliss & Mickie James was introduce as the new player in the show before Jax attacked all of them to keep her momentum moving.
  • For the main event, there is a champion vs champion match between Kevin Owens & Dean Ambrose. Both wrestler did provide a decent match as the both were exchange their turn to avoid one another’s finisher before Ambrose won the match. After the match, Chris Jericho enter the ring to revenge Owens over the thing that Owen put him thru.
