WWE SmackDown 18/4/2017 Result & Review

Honestly, I would like to apologize for a late results & review on SmackDown since that I been busy lately with loaded of assignment I had for university. By saying so, hope that you guys may enjoy reading up this article.

  • SmackDown kicks off with former four-time Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair making a segment on her move to SmackDown before Naomi challenged her for a match. Speaking of the Superstar Shake-up, I honestly understand that Charlotte need the momentum with SmackDown but I felt that it a little of a rush even though she a former 4 time Raw Women’s Champion
  • The first match of the night is was to decide a new #1 Contender for the WWE CHampionship with Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan, Jinder Mahal, Mojo Rawley, Luke Harper, and Sami Zayn. I would say that the way how the match was plan was good until Jinder Mahal won this match which literally shocked a lot of people. After the match, Randy Orton congratulated him to be the #1 Contender for the title opportunity.
  • Following the confrontation earlier of the show, the match between Naomi and Charlotte began and in the end, Charlotte won the match by pinned Naomi. Well for this match I would make no comment to be honest since that I have no interest with the womens division even though Shane and Daniel did a good job on this division.
  • Soon the match between American Alpha and Prime & Epico match which Primo & Epico won the match. I would say make a same statement as above which hopefully that The New Day will help to bring the excitment in this division even though many people feel that they were overly pushed by WWE.
  • Before he defends the United States Championship with Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens would have Face of America Open Challenge with Gary Gandy which obviously Owens won the match. Well, it looks like that this would be the last match for Jericho as he will be away because of his band’s tour. After months of enjoying his promos where it is one of the best thing about Raw and hope that WWE keeps his character.
  • Lastly, there is a match between AJ Styles and Baron Corbin to name the #1 Contender for the United States Title as AJ Styles won by countout.

Overall, how did the show goes this week? Post your comments in comment section below.
